You should now be able to launch AC1 or AC2, enable the controller in the options menu and enjoy. This should work for any version of Windows any with any Dinput or Xinput controller. Last edited by Charlie ; Jan 14, 2017 @ 7:32am
Yes. You just have to choose it as a controller in the options and then you're good. With one noted exception, the controls are tied to the profile so until that has loaded you're on kb/mouse. I'm using the wired controller and the triggers work fine without any remapping. Post edited April 09, 2012 by jema.

Assassin's Creed Controller Fix. This should work for any controller (PS, Xbox, Generic etc) Launch "x360ce" as an Admin (right click), it will prompt you to create the "xinput1_3.dll" file, create it, once the UI has loaded, plug your controller in, it should automatically detect your controller and apply the correct settings, click next
Assassin's Creed. The Assassin's Creed series of video games is one of the most beloved series of the last decade, and with good reason. Experience the game that started it all as you take on the role of Altair, a cunning assassin who uses his incredible hand-to-hand combat skills, stealth and acrobatic abilities to assassinate powerful targets and steer the course of the holy wars.
I prefer assassin's creed on mouse and keyboard. It started with unity for me with being able to headshot with the phantom blade easier but I also find the camera easier to control in parkour with a mouse. Ac1-rev I played through this year on mkb after being unable to get my elite series 2 controller to work even after downloading the things
So, I've been playing Valhalla lately on my PC. Started just last week. It's from Ubisoft Connect, not some other storefront. I also play with a controller. I got about 20 hours into the game before I started having some problems. The problem is that the controller I use keeps disconnecting from the game. I use an Xbox One controller plugged
An mmo mouse makes it all a lot easier, too. They're all fine with kb/m except for Valhalla. The 'stealth walk' drops you to the slowest possible movement speed, and it makes those parts of the game practically unplayable. It's all good except block/parry and dodge.
I am new to PC gaming myself. I honestly found I enjoy a game like assassins creed where you only hotkey a few abilities best with controller. I do miss K&M when using my bow but everything else from, exploring, to parkour, to fighting I'd rather use a controller so that is what Ive started with. As well since it has paddles I can map 4 extra

Not true, either Controller or K/M is a matter of preference and specially habit. I have played all Assassin's Creed games with a Controller (PS3 era, until Assassin's Creed Rogue, I believe). When I started playing them on PC, I still used Controller (Unity > Syndicate > Origins). BUT, when I got the chance to play Odyssey, I tried my first
